Liquid Ingredient Weights

Liquids are the case where volume measuring is defensible, and also where the density spread is widest: honey is 1.44 g per mL and oil is 0.92, so the same cup ranges from 216 g to 340 g. These pages give the measured figure for each liquid, the density behind it, and the fluid-ounce trap — a fluid ounce is a volume and an ounce is a weight, and for most liquids they are not the same number.
